A new baby is an absolute joy, but they can be expensive.

Claire’s older sister was pregnant and the baby was due in 3 weeks. Hoping for a natural birth, there was only one hospital in their city that does that with the help of a midwife. But to give birth there would mean needing to pay a $500 co-pay which was not covered by their insurance. Friends and family had been extremely generous already with various pregnancy-related costs and thankfully Claire’s Common Change group was able to step in and cover $400. A healthy baby girl was born and her middle name, Abigael means ‘gives joy’.
